President Donald Trump stated that for the ceasefire agreement to be fully and sustainably implemented, a clear mechanism for monitoring and verifying the compliance of the involved parties is necessary, which was also a point of agreement during a special meeting, according to Prime Minister Hun Manet, who received a phone call from Trump this evening.

The US President agreed to have the US participate in the process of monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and to continue cooperating with the mechanism arranged by Malaysia to ensure its success.

According to the Prime Minister, President Trump considers this work a particularly important task, as he wishes to see lasting peace between Cambodia and Thailand.
